I love a challenge. I oscillate between the idea of ‘plenty’ with complexity abounding and ‘frugality’ in simplicity.
This challenge was to represent my response to my subject with a limited range of colours and tones.
Though an empty road, I enjoyed the company of the overhanging trees as I took my morning amble through the small village. Simple trunk and branch forms, uncluttered by foliage, a road devoid of markings and signs, and music from native birds lilting softly. A yield of refreshment to my soul.
