In this instance I wanted to explore a minimal rendition with pastel on paper of a traditional subject. I was hoping for an uncluttered statement about timeless objects.
An aerial viewpoint allowed me to draw this playful subject of tiny flowers in a much-loved bowl.
It is perhaps an attempt to allow just the present object of beauty before me to have all my attention without the clutter of past, present, or future concerns.
