This cauldron of activity was mesmerizing as I stood riveted to the rocky shoreline standing just back far enough to feel safe and yet close enough to feel the adrenaline rush. The relentless nature of the waves crashing and washing over the rocks was hypnotic. The flow of water coming in and then receding again stole away absolute terror and replaced it with excitement and energy. Norfolk Island in the summer time.
